Pollard Arrested On Multiple Charges
Ricky Stanley Pollard of 922 Franklin Parkway, Franklin, Georgia was charged with Reckless Conduct, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, 5 counts of Aggravated Assault and 5 counts of Terroristic Threats, including a warrant for violation of parole.
During the afternoon hours on November 11th, the Franklin Police Department responded to 922 Franklin Parkway in reference to threats being made by Ricky Pollard, to the individuals at the residence.
Upon the arrival of Sergeant Tim Rowley, he spoke with the complainant regarding Ricky Pollard’s conduct and learned that he had recently been released from prison, after serving 20 year for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault. After speaking with the complainant, Sergeant Rowley requested that if Ricky Pollard returned, they should immediately contact the Heard County Dispatch Center and request the presence of law enforcement. Sergeant Rowley and other law enforcement officers remained in the area in an attempt to locate Ricky Pollard, who had reportedly left the residence walking, but were unsuccessful.
On that same date at approximately 11:39p.m., the Franklin Police Department received a call from the Heard County Dispatch Center, advising that Ricky Pollard had returned to the residence. The complainant informed the dispatcher that she was concerned that Ricky Pollard now had a firearm.
Officer Cecil Price was near the residence when he received the call and arrived within a short time, observing Ricky Pollard outside the residence. Officer Price immediately ordered him to the ground where he was safely detained. While conducting a search incident to arrest, Officer Price located a .357 caliber handgun in the waist area of Ricky Pollard’s jeans.
