Albert Chase McCormick Arrested On Two Counts of Aggravated Assault

Albert Chase McCormick of 858 Bar Farm Road, Franklin, Georgia, was arrested on September 27th for Possession of a Weapon While on School Property (Knife) and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

The arrest of Albert McCormick came after the Franklin Police Department was notified of a student at the Heard County High School that had a pocket knife and had acted as if he was going to cut two classmates. The first incident occurred in the restroom when he acted as if he was going to stab another student, but initially went unreported to law enforcement and staff members at the High School. The second incident occurred in a classroom when Albert McCormick displayed his pocket knife and advanced toward another student in a threatening manner.

Upon staff members being made aware of the incidents, they immediately took action and called for law enforcement assistance. Sergeant Tim Rowley of the Franklin Police Department responded and interviewed the witnesses and victims. After gathering the details of the incident, Sergeant Rowley obtained arrest warrants for Albert McCormick.
