Franklin Police Department, Heard County Emergency Services and the Cabe Family provided trick-or-treaters with candy on Saturday and Sunday night in front of Franklin City Hall.

After learning that the annual Community Carnival had been canceled, these individual decided to gather at Franklin City Hall to pass out candy to the many trick-or-treaters. The Franklin Police Department positioned an officer at the intersection of Georgia Highway 34 and Main Street to ensure pedestrians safely crossed the roadway to proceed to the residential community.

“We would like to thank the Heard County Emergency Services and the Cabe family for assisting us with this event. In addition, we would also like to thank the citizens who approached us requesting to donate candy to be distributed to the trick-or-treaters. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed socializing with the community we serve”, stated Chief Kevin Hannah.
